    Flight time

    The hours flown with you on board, at the aircraft’s hourly rate. Midsize jets typically run $4,500–7,000 an hour.

    Repositioning

    Getting the aircraft to you and, on a one-way, often back to its base. The biggest variable on most quotes; an aircraft already heading your way can remove it.

    Airport charges

    Landing, handling and parking at both ends. Busy airports and peak days cost more.

    Optional extras

    Catering and Wi-Fi are your choice. They belong on their own lines, never folded into the hourly rate.

    Federal excise tax

    7.5% on domestic US charter. If a quote doesn’t show it, ask whether it is included.

    Segment fees

    A small charge per passenger for each leg, about $5 and indexed yearly.

Safety and standards

Certificated, audited, named.

We are a broker, not an airline. Every flight we arrange is operated by an FAA Part 135 air carrier, or its foreign equivalent abroad, in command of the aircraft.

Third-party audits of operators’ safety programs. ARGUS rates Gold, Gold+ and Platinum; Wyvern’s standard is Wingman; IS-BAO registers stages 1 to 3.
Duty and rest
Federal rules limit crew duty time and require rest. Schedules and late changes are planned within them.

Before you ask for a quote.

What does “all-in” mean on your quotes?

Everything required to fly the trip you asked for: flight time, positioning, the 7.5% federal excise tax on domestic flights, segment fees, landing and handling, crew costs. Extras you choose sit on their own lines, and anything that can’t be priced ahead, such as winter de-icing, is flagged rather than hidden.

Is the quote instant?

Sending the request is. The quote follows once your advisor has checked real aircraft with operators, so the figure reflects what is actually available on your dates rather than a number from a table.

Why is a one-way sometimes priced close to a round trip?

Because the aircraft often has to fly home empty, and that repositioning is part of the cost. An aircraft that is already heading your way, an empty leg, can remove most of it.

Is a quote binding?

No. It is an estimate until you sign a charter agreement, and the operating carrier is named before you book. Until then the aircraft stays subject to the operator’s confirmation.

Is there a membership fee or a deposit?

Neither. You can request and compare quotes without paying anything; payment terms only appear in the charter agreement you sign to book.

Who actually flies the aircraft?

The operator: an FAA Part 135 air carrier for US flights, or its foreign equivalent abroad. Instant Jet Quote is the broker that finds the aircraft and prepares the quote.

Can you quote international and multi-city trips?

Yes. International quotes add lines for items such as customs, handling and foreign fees, each shown separately. For multi-city trips, list the extra legs in your request.

Can I bring my dog?

Many operators welcome pets with approval, and we only quote aircraft that will take yours. Mention it in your request.
